This is the third year I didn't get to celebrate Chinese New Year at home with my family. Is sad but inevitable due to higher priorities (not work). Plus I have the blessings from my mother to be apart, so at least I don't feel guilty. Technically is should be not able to 'celebrate' for two years as this year, can't celebrate it at all as my family is in mourning because of the demise of my father in November. So, one whole year of no any sort of celebrations or attending any happy or sad occasions.
I'm from Malaysia and for me to seek some solace during festive seasons, be it Chinese New Year, Muslim celebrations, Hindu celebrations and etc. I like to watch the latest Petronas advertisements. Boy! I've been scouting up and down the net for the latest Chinese New Year ads and finally got to watch it few days ago. As usual, very touching, very local, very simple. I think the Petronas advertising panel should get people's award from Malaysians.
I hope to be able to have reunion dinner with my family next year. Cooking with my mom, preparing prayers, decorating the house and making cookies.
This mut be a good year for me as first thing in the morning today, I received a text from a long lost friend. I tried to get in touch with her through her old number but no reply till today. Now more good surprises for me this year?
